Separating Parts

Separating parts within a single sculptie is very easy with the Sculpt Studio.

The path between two consecutive slices that have the “Pole” slice shape becomes invisible in a fully loaded sculptie.

Example: cutting in half

Example: cutting in half

Load "Pole" into Slice 15

Load slice shape Pole into Slice 15

Load "Pole" into Slice 16

Load slice shape Pole into Slice 16

To flatten the ends:

Put Slice 15 to te position of Slice 14 and put Slice 16 to the Position of Slice 17

Put Slice 15 to te position of Slice 14 and put Slice 16 to the Position of Slice 17

To make the edges look sharp:

Put Slice 15 and Slice 14 to the Position of Slice 13 and put Slice 16 and Slice 17 to the Position of Slice 18

Put Slice 15 and Slice 14 to the Position of Slice 13 and put Slice 16 and Slice 17 to the Position of Slice 18

I knew how to split the sculpt and also about sinking it in to the next disk to flatten the ends, but didn’t know about sinking it into a further prim to get a straight edge. If only I knew how to do this 3 months ago lol. Thanks for the tip.
